My Experience at Aretre Driving School Dec '25 - Mar '26 In short, I recommend this driving school to anyone, whether starting from scratch or having previous experience. ? I enjoy reading and sharing reviews, so for more info on my personal experience, feel free to read on ? After walking past this driving school for years, and deciding it was time to get my licence, I visited Aretre and spoke to Salam, the owner. I was given a sheet breaking down the packages and pricing. After deciding, I went back to Aretre, paid for the driving and test drive package I selected and left my licence info and email. After a few days I was emailed asking for my schedule availability. Not long after my reply, I got a list of days and times proposed for my driving lessons, about 2 or 3 a week. When I turned up for my lessons, either the instructor was there or would arrive from a previous lesson within 5 minutes of the starting time. Most of my lessons were with Salam, who best matched my learning style. Salam has a calm presence and the knowledge and experience to anticipate, suggest and explain what's going on at any time. During and after lessons I would receive encouragement and feedback on what to improve. My first driving test lead to a fail on timing on a left turn - after that Salam made me practice more on that. The test was rescheduled to almost 4 weeks after and then cancelled due to bad weather. Another rescheduled test took place 3 weeks after that, in March. Personally I chose to book additional classes the day prior to the test to re-familiarise myself with the driving school car. Additional individual classes can be booked as needed. For my rescheduled March drive test, Salam's car wasn't available due to it being at the auto shop, so my class and test drive were with Jamil and his car. The day before the test, Jamil helped me practice with his car and refreshed manoeuvres such as the 3-point turn, emergency stop, uphill parking and parallel parking with his car. On the day of the test it was raining, and Jamil made sure everything was ready for me to feel safe and ready for the test, as well as wiping the windows for better visibility just before the test start. I passed! ? Overall I had a very positive experience at Aretre. Salam and the team care about what they do and about teaching people to be confident, and most importantly, safe drivers. I am grateful for all the practice I gained over the weeks. Thank you all at Aretre ? *If you want to have your drive test shortly after your lessons, keep in mind the waiting time for an available test date can be 3-4 weeks, so you may want to book in advance. From my understanding, a drive test time can be rescheduled with the drive test centre up to 48 hours before the booked time. *Driving tests can be cancelled by the test drive centre due to bad weather - my February test was cancelled as it was snowing / frozen rain and rescheduled 3 weeks after. You can try and see if there are slots that become available sooner when other people cancel their tests. *I had wanted to get my G2 licence for years, but it was only once I decided to sign up to driving school and commit to classes that I actually got it done! I highly recommend Aretre Driving School to anyone preparing for their G2 and/or G road test! My experience with the school was great from start to finish. A huge thank you to Salam and Jamil for their patience, efforts, professionalism, and constant encouragement throughout the entire learning process. Thanks to their guidance and support, I was able to pass my test successfully and feel much more confident driving independently. I had a great experience learning with Salam. His patience and calm approach made a huge difference in building my confidence behind the wheel. He took time to clearly explain every step, answered all my questions, and ensured I was comfortable with each skill before moving on. What stood out the most was his encouragement and support throughout the process, especially when I was nervous. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to successfully achieve my G2. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and patient instructor!

I had great experiences with both Salaam and Masoud. They were very patient, understanding and laughed at my jokes. As a woman learning to drive later on in life - they made me feel comfortable and capable. I would absolutely recommend using this driving school.

I had an excellent experience with both Salam and Masud! They are both incredibly patient, professional, and knowledgeable instructors. Salam was great at building my initial confidence, and Masud gave me excellent technical tips that really polished my driving. They both have a very calm teaching style that makes learning to drive much less stressful. Highly recommend both of them!
