Based on our experience, I would not recommend this driving school. My daughter did not have a good rapport with her assigned instructor, so I contacted the school to request a different one. During that conversation, I found the instructor to be hostile and rude toward me, which was unexpected and unprofessional. The process of getting a new instructor was difficult, and communication from the school was poor throughout. Overall, the situation was stressful and disappointing, especially given that we were simply trying to ensure a positive learning environment for our child. This review reflects our personal experience. Others may have had a different experience.
Passed My Test First Try!! ? ? Seriously, five stars simply aren't enough for Universal Driving School! If you're looking to swap those sweaty-palm moments for genuine driving confidence, this is the place to be for sure. ? My instructor, Hess, was patient, hilarious, and somehow managed to make parallel parking feel less terrifying than making popcorn. I went from zero-to-driver in no time and absolutely smashed my road test on the first attempt. ??
I had a great experience at universal driving school, my instructor Hess, was patient, knowledgeable and made every lesson clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn in a supportive and professional environment !
I do not recommend this driving school. I paid for the full BDE program but had to stop midway due to extremely unprofessional and inappropriate behavior from the instructor — including pressure to pay for damages without documentation, repeated threatening messages, and even showing up at my home uninvited. I never signed anything saying I’d be personally liable, nor was I shown proof of damage. When I raised concerns, there was no real accountability. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, I was met with harassment. I still had lessons left that I paid for and never used. I’ve since filed reports with the Ministry of Transportation, Consumer Protection Ontario, and the police. If you're considering this school, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere — no one should feel unsafe or intimidated while trying to learn how to drive.
When you go to purchase a package they offer you many things, and at the end they don't deliver. They convinced me to buy one of the more expensive packages because I would have two hours of practice before the test and they only gave me an hour and a half. You have to do everything from writing to your instructor to coordinate your lessons to making the appointment for the driving test. I don’t recommend them. The only good thing was the instructor, he is a good instructor!
