Durham Drivers Academy
Mission Statement The mission at Durham Driving Academy is to help make Canadian roads safer by teaching new drivers the skills and techniques of safe and enjoyable lifetime driving. Using the latest techniques, educational content, and research, they offer training far beyond what is required to obtain a driver’s license. They do all this by encouraging drivers to avoid distracted driving by not texting or talking on a cell phone. Every week, they run small campaigns in schools promoting anti-distracted driving, such as Eyes on the Road, Highway Safety, and Emergency Maneuvering, to name a few.

You must be at least 16 years of age.
The written test is done at any Drive Test Centre in Ontario.
Complete MTO approved BDE course is will help you to do the road test in 8 months, instead of waiting for one full year.
No, Durham Drivers Academy is required to carry all the necessary insurance in order for students to operate our vehicles.
We recommend that the owner of any vehicle being driven by a novice driver must be notifying their insurance company.

a year agoPlease heed our warning and those left by others and use another driving school. Calls are never returned as promised. Instructor is often rude. During lesson Instructor has students running errands for them. They often don't answer the phone and are difficult to book times with. Once they get paid, all communication with them is difficult. Instruction is very basic, turn here turn there is about it. Read all the reviews and do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

a year agoIt's been a year since I've enrolled in Driver's Ed with them via the self-paced option and they haven't yet given me any in-car lessons because they require me to finish the coursework first. As long as the learner has a G1, no other driving school is like this, whether it's wanting to purchase individual lessons or wanting to start the in-car portion before finishing the coursework. Only they have this restriction.

3 years agoI highly recommend this driving school! So many driving schools didn't respond to phone calls and emails, but Syed was very responsive and a great instructor. He's honest and calm, which is just what you need when you're preparing for a road test. Thank you for all your support!!
