Mission Statement The mission at Durham Driving Academy is to help make Canadian roads safer by teaching new drivers the skills and techniques of safe and enjoyable lifetime driving. Using the latest techniques, educational content, and research, they offer training far beyond what is required to obtain a driver’s license. They do all this by encouraging drivers to avoid distracted driving by not texting or talking on a cell phone. Every week, they run small campaigns in schools promoting anti-distracted driving, such as Eyes on the Road, Highway Safety, and Emergency Maneuvering, to name a few.

Extremely unprofessional driving school. Frequent short-notice cancellations and poor communication — messages often went unanswered. During in-car lessons, the instructor behaved unprofessionally, including arguing with other students and using inappropriate language, including racial slurs. On more than one occasion, students were left alone in the vehicle while the instructor ran personal errands. I would strongly advise parents and students to look elsewhere. ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!
Thank you for your time with teaching me the ways of the road. Such a great instructor. I definitely highly recommend.
The worst! My teenage daughter hasn't stopped complaining about this place. Driver won't bother trying to fit her into his schedule and won't try to reschedule, leaving the burden to try and reschedule on us. Unprofessional!!!
My experience with him was very good. I was successful get my driver license .
It was such a horrible experience, it's hard even to know where to start. The instructor kept canceling lessons last minute, sometimes just 30 minutes before the lesson was supposed to start. He ignores calls and messages and it might take him more than a week to respond to a message about the next lesson. Even when the lesson is scheduled, he always insisted hard on the schedule and lesson duration that worked only for him. After graduation, it took him more than 3 weeks to send my papers to Service Ontario. The worst part was that I paid for the car to use for my driving test, and despite two upfront reminders about my exam date and time, he sent me a message less than a day before the exam saying he wouldn't make it. I had to call him and beg him on the phone for 20 minutes to actually show up. To make things worse, this guy is the only employee at school - he's an instructor and he's an owner. So you can't even ask to change your driver or talk to someone about his behaviour. You will be better with any other school in the area. Keep as far away from this school as you can - it's not worth the stress or money.
