Policies

Our programs are fully approved by the Ministry of Transportation and certified by the Insurance Bureau of Canada. 

1. Training consists of 20 hours of online sessions, 10 hours of online homework, and 10 hours of in-car lessons. To successfully complete the course, students are required to complete all parts of the program and they must obtain a minimum of 70% on both the online and in-car lessons.  
2. The course fee, including taxes and the MTO fee, is $699 (less the discount coupon). If you would like to use our payment plan, the first installment is $375. The balance must be paid before scheduling in-car lessons. Please read our refund policy on the registration page. Your payment (full or partial) must be received by November 30th, 2023, to be eligible for this special price.
3. Once the signed form and your payment is received (full payment or your first installment), an access link will be sent to you to start the online class (within 3 business days). A G1 licence is not required to start the online portion of our course. The course is self-paced and self-directed. In case you have any questions, our digital support team is available. You have a maximum of 9 months to complete the online work (from the registration date). If the online work is not finished within 9 months (from the registration), an administration fee of $100 will be applied.
4. Once the online portion is completed and we have your full payment, the in-car training can be scheduled. You must have a G1 licence to start the in-car lessons. Please bring the licence to your first and the following driving lessons. Our driving instructors will contact the student within 3 weeks upon completion of the online course. In some individual cases we can accommodate the in-car lessons sooner.  However, you need to contact us prior to the start of the course.
5. If you need to cancel a road lesson, we require a 24-hour notice. For each missed appointment or late cancellation, you will be charged a fee of $25 for a 60-minute lesson and $40 for a 120-minute lesson. You will be excused for the first time only. We provide free pick up and drop off service for in-car lessons within Hamilton (excluding Binbrook), Stoney Creek, Ancaster and Dundas. For other areas, an extra charge will be applied ($40- $100 depending on the student’s place of living. Binbrook-$50).
6. After completing the whole program, within ten (10) working days, students will be certified online with MTO. The online certification allows for early road test booking (4 months sooner). Once certified, students can apply for a driving school certificate. This can be done at any Service Ontario office. Students should ask for a Drivers Licence History. The fee is $12, payable to MTO. 
7. Students must complete the whole program (online and in-car) within 12 months from the online start date. We strongly recommend that you finish the online portion within 9 months, so you can complete the in-car lessons within the mandatory period.  Please note we need a minimum of 4 weeks to accommodate 10 hours on the road.
8. If for any reason the training is not complete within 12 months (online and in-car, from the online start date), an administration fee of $150 will be applied and the online work must be restarted. (To be eligible for the certificate)
9. To book your road test you have 4 options: ask your instructor to book it, go to www.drivetest.ca, call 1-888-570-6110, OR visit a driver test centre in person.
10. The course fee does not cover a car rental for your road test. The car rental fee is payable to your driving instructor on the day of your test. You will receive a warmup lesson. The car rental for a road test in Hamilton is $200. Other locations start at $220.  Renting an instructor's car is optional. You can use your own car for the road test.
